Mock Exam + Revision Help
So a numebr of you have tracked me down this week and asked how to revise for Friday's mock exam. Well here are some tips.
Firstly here is the preliminary material for the mock:
So what you need to do is go through it and highlight what you think they will ask you to do in an exam.
You will have to prepare a pitch for a product that meets the demands of the brief.
In an exam:
1 question will be around KNOWLEDGE OF EXISTING TV NEWS PROGRAMMES.. So an essay type answer explaining what makes real tv news show successful is what you need to prepare.
1 question will definitely ask you to PITCH YOUR NEW IDEAS for a new TV News show. You might be asked to comment on any of the following : Title, studio layout, Presenters, Colour scheme, House style, Types of Stories, Social Media usage etc etc ..
1 question will be a PRACTICAL DESIGN TASK : Storyboard for a credits sequence or a Design for a Website for your show, So you need to practice doing this at home in 20 minutes max
1 question could also be about how your ideas and design work MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE BRIEF AND TARGET AUDIENCE ( look at the prelim material above) So you need to justify your ideas in relation to Audience theory we have learnt in class.
Remember in any exam you need to try and use MEDIA TERMINOLOGY throughout and try and work it into your work at all times.
Ok 1 last thing is that apart from your books you can use the websites listed on this site especially :
